Artist Statement
A woodcut is an image printed from the carved and inked surface of a block of wood. The process requires three basic elements: wood, ink, paper. With these simple ingredients I intend to capture an energy that represents an honest, hand-hewn record of a physical process. Behind every print lies a theme meant to inspire and affirm our relationship to the dynamic and deeply networked natural world.
