Artist Statement
I am drawn to imagery that reflects a connection to spirit, awareness, curiosity, and playfulness.My pieces are hand-fabricated from sterling silver or gold, often textured and oxidize to bring out their delicate details and sculptural dimensionality. Drawing inspiration from the unexpected beauty and sense of impending loss that can be encountered in the collision of the industrial and natural worlds, I often explore images of a fading American mythology. My work, which frequently stirs unique individual associations, also tends to point to our essential connectedness and a certain shared experience of the world.
