Artist Statement
Ashley Buchanan's hand-cut, powder coated jewelry focuses on pattern and decoration in order to reference ornamentation and historical jewelry motifs. Because silhouettes allow her to reduce images down to their most basic form, she is able to reference the history of jewelry with a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
