Artist Statement
Participating as a member of the New Art, New Artist College Student Program. Michael Charter was born in 1970 from the northern Michigan town Northport. Milan based photographer and student, enrolled in the Washtenaw Community College photography program, looks to capture those moments in day and dark that often pass us by. Though splendor is subjective, dynamic and jaded, it's also dictated by rules known and unknown by humans. It's my goal to understand splendor, moreover, find those seconds or minutes in that may convey an awe or pause.
