Artist Statement
Monica Rickhoff Wilson creates tactile reflections on nature paired with the idea of a product. Her ceramic sculptures are a fusion of material and technique: porcelain, stoneware, and terracotta with glazes that are fired at high and mid-range temperatures. The forms mimic natural clusters they are soft round and pierced hollow collections that refer to growth and abundance with an edge toward excess and obsession.
