Artist Statement
My Land Bridges are inspired by rock arch formations carved through time by wind and water. The work also has a celestial theme that can be interpreted as terrestrial or extra-terrestrial thus capturing our deepest sense of curiosity and splendor of our own planet, the cosmos and beyond. I merge polymer, granite, and iron pigment on exotic wood then relief carve to reveal the intricate sub layers.
