Artist Statement
Working with clay the way that I do allows instant engagement and constant decision making. Nothing is automatic and things can change at any moment. It is in a way a constant meditation practice, with each touch of the clay recorded. This handmade, imperfect quality is what I love in the material, its beauty the perfect metaphor of life's permeability.
