Artist Statement
Using insects as my medium I immerse myself in their shapes, colors and patterns, capturing their intricate beauty. My artistry begins with painstakingly picking, relaxing, pinning, drying and finally arranging each piece to its completion. I use the highest quality materials to showcase their world in unparalleled detail. Each piece is protected with museum glass which also reduces any glares that may take away from the viewer. All insects are sustainably sourced or from a personal collection acquired from a collector who had been collecting since the 50s. Each piece is a carefully crafted masterpiece, a testament to the artistry within nature's tiniest inhabitants. No they aren't painted and yes they are real. My pieces will always be the conversation starter in any room.
