Artist Statement
Inspired by vintage dress silhouettes, this body of work is constructed entirely from the paper sewing instructions found in a vintage or antique dress pattern package. Rather than sew a dress I create mine by cutting, layering and adhering the tissue thin paper. Each collage is original and one of a kind.
