Artist Statement
My work starts with finding the right piece of wood for the project. I work with highly figured wood, mostly burls. I believe each piece of wood has a project it is meant for and it is up to me to figure out what that is, that's where the artistry begins. I utilize both a lathe to turn and hand tools to carve, to achieve the end result.
