Artist Statement
Few people give much thought to woodturning, despite interacting with turned objects every day. For me, it has changed the way I observe the world. I notice individual trees and look at them more closely, wondering what potential beauty lies within. On my lathe, even the most seemingly useless chunk of wood can come alive again.
