Artist Statement
I am a mixed media painter using acrylic paint with layered in collage elements that are created separately on archival papers. I take delight in playing with opposites in conversation on the picture plane: exploring the interplay between bold and subtle, energetic and precise, light and dark, bright and muted, warm and cool, textured and smooth. I often start without an idea in mind and title works when finished. I hope you enjoy the results!
