Artist Statement
Anne Erlewine is a fine artist who works from her home studio in Ann Arbor, MI. Her first mentor was her grandmother, University of Michigan painting graduate, Phyllis Erlewine. In addition to her artistically fortified upbringing, Anne studied art at the University of Michigan, Naropa University and was a recipient of the Golden Paintbrush Award for public art in Ann Arbor. Her recent work ranges from floral bouquets to abstract color scapes painted on oak, birch or maple panel, with acrylic ink, with hand-made custom frames in maple, cherry or walnut frames that are milled locally.
