Artist Statement
SAGGAR: A protective refractory container. My saggar fired work has been developed over a decade through experimentation. It is inspired by integrating a love of form, process, materials, and mark making; with a respect for traditional methods I approach each firing with new ideas bringing the work to a contemporary place.
