Artist Statement

I am a full-time high school social studies teacher and part-time mixed-media artist. I am inspired by individuals who have made a positive impact on society. I create my work entirely from recycled license plates, all of which connect to the person in an effort to help tell their stories. Every piece of a license plate is hand-cut using tin snips and screwed onto a handmade wood frame.
