Artist Statement

These vessels are crafted from 1 to 12 wood species, cut into strips 1/8 inch to 2 inches wide. These are sanded, segmented, and glued into patterns, with up to 2,000 segments per vessel. The vessel is then turned on a lathe to shape, sand and finish. This process takes from 3 to 10 days.
