Design and build your very own Butterfly Marionette! Every culture world-wide has a rich history of puppetry reflecting rituals, stories and even politics. Marionettes are a complex type of puppet controlled by strings. Come and learn about puppet history with the DIA and walk away as a Puppeteer!
Make a Sculptural Relief "Creatingness’ Great Reward" By: Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD)

Create a contemporary sculpture out of reclaimed, recycled and found objects. Stations will be set up that will encourage and challenge families to work together to make extraordinary sculptural reliefs.

Hand Build or Wheel Throw Clay By: Sugar Hill Clay

Explore the world of ceramics through a hands-on building experience or try your hand at throwing on the wheel. Presented by Sugar Hill Clay, a new community ceramic studio located in the Sugar Hill Arts District of Midtown Detroit. Items may be fired and picked-up at Sugar Hill Clay. Clay donated by Rovin Ceramics, a Motawi Company.
