Artist Statement
My focus is on the surface of the cloth. I construct pieces to be worn gently over the body. I invent my colors using low-impact dies or materials from my yard or the woods. I dye and over-dye using the shape-resist technique of Shibori. I make use of the heat and time. I take the cloth to where I want it to go and it takes me.
