Artist Statement
Kristine Bolhuis creates lightweight kinetic metal sculptures that respond to the movement of the body as they are worn. Each piece is created with hand fabricated and forged links, connected with moveable riveted joints. There is a playfulness and joy of discovery in each piece as they shift and move when handled.
