Artist Statement
A child of parents who left war-torn Holland, my art seeks to capture stories of loss and hope, courage and strength in 3-D assemblages, finding the narrative in gathered textiles from divergent cultures sculpted with found objects, copper, willow branch, and stone, mounted in a museum-quality frame.
