Artist Statement
My paintings are one of a kind, never duplicated and are created from inspiration from my love of maps and puzzles and traveling. I like to invite the viewers into a totally separate space from their own, interpreted by them. I create this space by layering handmade paper and acrylic paint, paste and watercolor crayons. Sanding between layers reveals organic texture with is contrasted with geometric lines and shapes as a map is by its defining borderlines.
