Artist Statement
Epaul Julien is a self-taught artist who began as a fine arts photographer. A near-death experience then changed his life forever. In the wake of Katrina, however, he felt abandoned by his photography because he could not pack a giant enlarger, darkroom chemicals in one day and evacuate from his beloved city. Thus a new beginning.
