Artist Statement
Biomimetics or biomimicry is the imitation of the models, systems, and elements of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems. Through my jewelry I explore methods of social construction, perception and inequality by alluding to undervalued fauna such as insects, bats, and snakes.
