Artist Statement
Participating as part of the NANA college student program: I use various media including watercolor, Prismacolor pencils, oils, graphite, ink, and digital. My work ranges from realism to cartoons and children's book illustrations. Along with being an artist, I also enjoy traveling and serving on missions trips. I often "draw" inspiration for my work from the places that I visit and from the people I have served and interacted with. I put hours of work into the small details because I believe that every detail, every wrinkle or misplaced hair, is what captures that particular subject's personality and character and is what grabs viewers attention.
