Artist Statement
"The Mask Maker Workshop" Hand made figurines sculpted from a doughy mixture of boiled potato and plaster.
We see the mask maker fashioning masks for Carnival. Each mask represents an Andean deity, a well-known character, an animal, bird or one of the spirits of my town.
