Artist Statement
A gem cutter since childhood, I began working with aluminum about 15 years ago. I've developed my own design, machining, and carving techniques, and many of my own tools. I work subtractively, carving each piece from a single piece of metal. For me, artistic success is the moments or years a viewer spends with my work.
