Artist Statement
I use a variety of textures, shapes, surface treatments, and metals to give a painterly feel and color to my work. The pieces are fabricated with hollow forms, and forged shapes in sterling silver, 14, 18, and 22 karat gold. Textured surface treatments are achieved through reticulation and etching. Australian Boulder Opals and a variety of stones, including found beach stones, are used to add color and texture.
